I found this article (excerpt below) entitled “The Most Beautiful Word in the English Language” by Bruna Martinuzzi, via Guy Kawasaki. It mentions successful companies, and how each had what is called a Level 5 Leader, and the common traits of these types of successful leaders. The big common denominator? Humility. Yep, the most beautiful word in [...]
Fans of the original Sherlock Holmes character from the stories of 19th-century author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, may be pleased that all the major elements and quirks are intact, but this is still an intentionally hip and modern take on a classic. Holmes is more like a calculating super hero with precise ninja-like battle skills, but whose supreme power is his mental acumen, and Watson is a swashbuckling partner and formidable equal. Sprinkle over a few bits of contemporary issues that plague the world, and you have Ritchie’s “Holmes”.

Vote NOW for Rosie Lambert’s book video trailer for “Very LeFreak” at Barnes & Noble.
A friend has entered her video in a Barnes & Noble competition for book video trailers. Go vote now by October 30, 2009!
I found the photo below thru one of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s tweets (yes, I “follow” him). It is a perfect storytelling image featuring two little Asian boys, one crying, the other obviously stole his drink. Hilarious sibling rivalry. ah the days of innocence before the fist-fights, shank-dodging, and police raids at 3am… wha? [...]
You remind me of someone
someone I once knew
to be a true friend
a complete confidant
you remind me of this one
who said they’d never let me down
they promised to usually be around
you remind me of someone
someone I once knew
they aren’t around now
I haven’t seen this someone
in a long while
this someone is absent in my life’s roster now
you [...]
CHÉ movie review by Kevin E. McCarthy
In a fitting tribute, my review for CHÉ will be in two parts, but I am releasing the review in one long ride. CHÉ was directed, very profoundly may I say, by the Steven Soderbergh and the great Benicio Del Toro plays the title character. This is a passion project [...]

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced its nominations for the 2008 Golden Globe awards (ceremony on January 11, 2009 on NBC).
The Golden Globes are a prestigious awards ceremony; the winners are selected by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. You would think the Hollywood Foreign Press press would be an international press from around the world, but they are a small group of local area media. This makes it easy for stars to wine and dine all voting members. This is of course how Sharon Stone won in 1995 for Casino, and it is also how Rachel Weiz won in 2006 and why Jim Carrey always wins when he is nominated.
The Golden Globes highlight films and actors for the Academy Awards voting members. You see, the Golden Globes are televised exactly one week before the Oscar ballots need to be mailed back. So in other words, all eyes are on the Golden Globes, and everyone in town wants to win a Globe because it gives them an excellent chance to be nominated for an OSCAR!
A great flock has this shepherd.
A marvellous one has he.
his flock so white and grand,
What more to life can there be?
he has such a beautiful flock,
So fluffy, so pleasant and fair;
But, what’s that over there? Some sheep astray?
Oh, how bad for this shepherd unaware.
Everything seems fine,
All is looking well.
But the lesser sheep are wandering,
Vulnerable [...]
