Kung Fu Panda dazzles with humor and martial arts panache

Kung Fu Panda chop-socks onto screens this weekend, and I’m already excited to see it again. Dreamworks’ latest animated film has big laughs, action-packed, kung fu choreography, and not to mention a big lovable panda bear named Po as the just-believe-in-yourself hero on a journey of self-discovery.

Apple OS X Themed by Dennis Liu Music Video is So Full of Awesomeness

I know it’s been several weeks since this video came out, but it’s so cool and full of bodacity that it is worth posting.
The following music video was created by Dennis Liu and is to the song “Again & Again” by the Bird & the Bee.  It is a Mac OS X themed music video [...]

Don’t put stuff in the way of your neighbor, lest they trip because of you

the flow of spit raging from a mouth so loosed and untamed, the tongue at the helm. A clueless bandana, mind chained to the sinking ship, USS Gomorrah. While the hands, the supposed hands of freedom and liberated creativity, swing and sway forced and controlled a the pupeteer’s whim. Oh but the eyes are open, aren’t they? So wide, so widely they gaze in a blind stupor, a self-sufficient soapbox made of cork, upon the foundation of society’s gelatinous morals. The heat is rising, the heat, the sad and angry heat, and so it goes and so it goes… floating and lost upon the sea of forgetfulness. While the spit still rages on.

The Fedora is Back, Ladies and Gentlemen, The Return of Indiana Jones

That’s right, folks, The Fedora is back. Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones returns in the new film “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, the fourth installment in a franchise that began 27 years ago with “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. The Indiana Jones movies are the ultimate adventure stories from two of American cinema’s most creative minds, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.

3 out of 4 stars
The summer blockbuster wave continues with an epic and entertaining action-drama of warring mythical creatures and humans in “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” — the second film in The Chronicles of Narnia franchise, based on the hugely popular and classic books by C.S. Lewis.

Oliver Stone’s Bush Biopic to be Distributed by Lionsgate

I’m kinda behind the times; I didn’t know Stone was doing this movie until recently. Sounds kinda crazy and cool at the same time, definitely intriguing and will be a must-see around the world. Here’s a press release:
Studio Acquires Distribution Rights In North America, U.K., Australia, New Zealand

Iron Man is Solid Gold

The first of a few highly-anticipated blockbuster movies this year, “Iron Man” delivers us from the evil of recent months’ movie slump. Yes it’s another superhero movie based on an old Marvel comic character of the same name, but it’s an action-adventure worth seeing.

New Hancock Trailer, I think I’ve seen this idea before

I happened to be watching a bit of American Idol last night in some free time, and I saw the new “Hancock” trailer. My reaction was mixed. While I think it’s a cool premise, I have never been comfortable with “supersuits” in movies. I am not a big comic fan, but I always wanted superheroes in movies to wear similar suits to the ones they wore in the comics or cartoons that made them so popular. The ‘cool black rubber/leather’ suits just look dorky sometimes. But whatever, it’s just fantasy. Watch the new trailer here…

Ben Stein’s subversive EXPELLED on the freedom to question and an interesting look at the unfair representation of Intelligent Design among academia and the media

Ben Stein’s EXPELLED introduces to a mass audience the unfairness in representation suppression of Intelligent Design among academia and the media, making the “Darwinian Establishment” somewhat of a villain of the film. The actual focus of the film, however, is the freedom to think, to question, to learn. I think it’s a good [...]

New X-Files Movie Official Title Released

I don’t know anything about X-Files and I’m not really a fan, but I thought I’d post this information for the heck of it.
The new title for 20th Century Fox’s anticipated X-Files film was released today. The film title is “The X-Files: I Want to Believe”.
THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIVE in [...]

New James Bond Movie ‘Quantum of Solace’ in Theatres Nov. 7, 2008

I’m not a fan of James Bond, mainly because I’ve not seen any of the movies, old or new. Several moons ago, we rented “Goldeneye” during a holiday with the family, but I fell asleep about two-thirds of the way into it. I sorta woke up right at the last scene, and I didn’t know what was going on. But after a few seconds, I was like “of course that guy was a double agent, and of course, she dies that way.” It was right around the time I started realizing that movies can be very predictable. My first leanings toward a movie critic.

Anyway, in case some of you Bond fans didn’t already know, a new Bond film will be released in theatres this year, with Daniel Craig starring again.

Here’s a bit of information from Sony….
