Poetry & Prose

in gloriam of her lips, a poem

in gloriam of her lips

a small beast
       of death and life
       held, tame and taut by
the soft fleshy gates
       of delicate glisten
the tips of your fingers ever so slightly graze
       those dainty pillows of satin
          pillows that provide rest
                       for lovesick travellers
                       in search of glorious bliss
           a kiss

a sigh of forgotten sorrow
a blink of a weary eye
a taste of sweet romance sublime
a brief moment of sweet freedom
    passed those tender moonlit gates
    the gates that kept me
               so
                      far
                            from
the sea of evil and good
baptized in the tide of passion
washed in the waves of emotion
      born again in your love

simply changed in the warmth of your kiss

   a kiss
     a simple kiss
