Happy Last Day of 2008

On the eve of this new year (2009), I wish all 5 of my readers and even those few visitors who think they’re anonymous and visit only because they’re nosey (Google sees all, my friends) a very happy new year.

Although, really, there is no reset button that we push at midnight tonight, metaphorically, this is a time when westerners reset our life-clocks. We make sometimes foolish promises — usually regarding health, wealth and wisdom — to ourselves out loud while sipping a glass of something unhealthy (you Martinelli’s Apple Cider lushes!).

Why? I don’t know. There are reasons that I’m too lazy to find, but I’m sure if I believe hard enough, Google will let me know. Anyway, may the blessings of God continue in your life and mine, and may we continue to be thankful through both the good and the bad.

Anyway, Trend Micro (the company I work for) has been good to me, and I’m still doing that. In fact, I’ll be publishing a new homepage banner tonight at midnight.

As for Kindalikesorta, it’s been 5 years and I still don’t know what to do with this site. I don’t make any money off of it, I don’t promote it, I don’t properly display my artwork or writing, and I don’t even blog often enough to call it a “blog”. I don’t know, maybe a resolution for the new year would be to make Kindalikesorta.com into something more useful… like a spot for my media work or movie reviews, and a promo for more freelance gigs. Kevin E. McCarthy will have more movie reviews on the site in the year to come; he writes more quickly and frequently than I do.

My favourite movies this year (from what I’ve seen): Slumdog Millionaire, America the Beautiful, The Visitor, The Fall, Kung Fu Panda, Swing Vote, The Dark Knight, Gran Torino, Valkyrie, Wall-E, and Iron Man.

And now I’ve run out of things to say…. see ya next year!
