RUSH HOUR 3 Reaction
I just saw RUSH HOUR 3 Monday night and I thought it was kinda dumb. The first two, while not absolutely stellar, were funny and entertaining, with 2 being my favourite.
However, part 3 slightly sucked in that it seemed to lack the fun chemistry between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker and it also felt like a not-only-stick-to-the-formula-
but-directly-copy-it-with-a-different-environment-and-replace-the-jokes-with-
lamer-ones-and-give-jackie-less-screen-time-and-chris-more-wanda-sykes-
jokey-commentary re-hash.
This one doesn’t really add much to the franchise or even make it a nice trilogy. It just adds another misadventure with Jackie and Chris - except suckier.
Definitely better than “Hollywood Homicide” though :P And of course, unbetter than any of the “Lethal Weapon” movies. I still think “HOT ROD” is a better and more entertaining movie all around.
I’d say it’s better to pass on this one and wait for DVD unless you’re just a die-hard fan. You might as well see it since you’re looking forward to it, but it isn’t a big deal.
I still say Stardust is probably a better choice, even though it’s not popular and will probably bomb in terms of box office sales.
