Troy, Triplets of Belleville, In America

Troy was okay. Gladiator is better. So was Braveheart, and Kill Bill 2, and a lot of other movies. Troy just was kinda cheesy at times, because it had generic acting with a simple story, and they harped on Brad Pitt too much. I liked Eric Bana, Peter O’Toole and even the ‘bad king’ guy(grazer) better than achilles’/brad pitt.
well, i guess cuz to me, Brad Pitt’s a bit too girly-boy, and he’s slightly ‘not that good of an actor’. I think I only liked him in Twelve Monkeys, Snatch and Fight Club…I think. (which by the way, are two more better movies)
So now that you made me think about it(thank you), Troy kindalikesorta sucked!

I also recently rented the Triplets of Belleville. now THAT was a cool cartoon. Very strange and very original. The movie’s complete visual theme and setting has a strange blend of new york and paris. it’s like french and american at the same time. and get this, the film has no dialogue, it’s completely visual! That makes it even cooler. The movie tells a crazy-cool story of originality, with a fun weird musical element to it. And the animation isn’t similar to disney, or bluth or anime. It has it’s own unique exaggerations to everything; almost vulgar, almost bill plympton. In any case, i highly recommend Triplets of Belleville.

and other than that I’m on the computer at midnightish…..i’m a friggin nerd. I need a life. Or really, what i need is to stop being lazy and finish the dang script that me and juancarlos talked about a couple months ago.
As I type away at this stupid computer, it’s a few more minutes wasted that couldabeen dedicated to finishing the story of the ‘QuinceaƱera’.

Oh well, instead I’ll keep writing into the abyss of cyberdom, assuming that someone’s reading this crap. (gawd, i hope not)
I just saw ‘In America’. Wow, it was a pretty cool story. Like a bittersweet american dream tale. It has a bit of reality mixed with the make-believe magic that makes those ‘american’ tales so classic. It’s a nice blend of traditional ‘irish story’ and classic ‘american hollywood’.
Even if that doesn’t make sense, the point is that i liked it. ;)
